An experiment in post-industrial doom charting the dynamic between raw horror and breathless desperation at the site of the body, Ox Hunger reels through dirge to brutalist dance music, pulling structure out of noise.
Gloss on the Blood is Ox Hunger’s first self-released EP. It draws on medieval mysticism and gnostic origin stories to construct and anchor a practice for working with themes of body horror and dysmorphia, as anger/desire contend and stutter into something awfully wanting, something at the edge of legibility.
